Proton City, Rebuilt

An integrated development of Proton City in Tanjung Malim as a national automotive city that has been delayed since 15 years ago will be established comprehensively, which involves an investment of RM1 Billion. Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abd. Kadir said that the development that is expected to be completed in 5 years, will take up an area owned by DBR-Hicom Bhd up to 1619 hectare. DBR Hicom has conducted a detailed plan that involves the re-planning of Proton City, besides emphasising the efforts on increasing the population.

The Menteri Besar said only 30 per cent of the land in Proton City has been successfully developed before being delayed, resulting in numerous issues including missing entrances and exits directly through the PLUS highway.
